Minister: Russian fertilizer makers may buy stakes in Uzbek plants
TASHKENT, Apr 27 (PRIME) -- Russian fertilizer producers plan to buy stakes in the Uzbek facilities and might cooperate with Kazakhstan, Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov said on Wednesday.
"There are facilities in Uzbekistan that seem interesting to the Russian fertilizer producers … Both the acquisition of stakes in capital of the existing Uzbek companies and creation of new consortiums is planned," Mnturov said.
The official also said that the Kazakh producers of phosphates may sell raw materials to the Uzbek plants and launch production of new types of fertilizers, including for greenhouses.
